MSHI 512 Orientation to Health Informatics Program
This mandatory, precursor, health informatics orientation course provides an overview to the MSHI program and details the technology requirements for satisfactory participation in the graduate programs at Jacksonville University (JU). Students will have the opportunity to meet MSHI instructors, classmates, program coordinators, and to learn about the resources and support services available during the MSHI program progression. Students are given an overview of the learning management system, Registrar Office, Student Accounts and Financial Aid Office, Library Services, Public Safety, Student Health Insurance, Capstone Project, Title IX Training, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Training, and Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI). All students admitted into the Master of Science degree program in Health Informatics are required to complete this orientation concurrently with their first sequence of courses in the program of study and will automatically be enrolled in the orientation course during their first term of study.
