Certificate Requirements

The Davis College of Business & Technology offers a graduate certificate in business law to develop skills in executive decision-making and management. This certificate is available to all post-baccalaureate students enrolled in a JU graduate or professional degree program. The certificate requires successful completion of 6 graduate credits offered by the Davis College of Business & Technology and 6 credits offered by the JU College of Law as outlined below.

Some of the approved electives have prerequisites; prerequisites that may be waived with instructor permissions are LAW 731, LAW 732, LAW 741, and LAW 743. Other graduate or law classes may be counted toward the certificate with the approval of the Davis College of Business & Technology.

NOTE: For students enrolled in the J.D. program at Jacksonville University, credit received for LAW
coursework may count toward the J.D. program and the certificate. Coursework from this certificate program may be transferred into a master’s or doctoral program offered by the Davis College after formal admission. However, coursework from this certificate completed prior to admission may not be transferred into the J.D. program.
