IMPD 622 Theory and Techniques of Inferior Alveolar Nerve and Management of Nerve Injuries and Micro-vascular Repair
Piezo surgery techniques are studied in this course in addition to current techniques with non-rotary cutting, onlay bone blocks, and the TVO™ (Tatum Vascularized Osteotomy). Residents are introduced to sensory nerve physiology and nerve related pathology. This course introduces residents to alveolar procedures without micro-vascular surgery. Dedicated instruments, bone cuts, tissue manipulation, and different fixation techniques are also illustrated.
