IMPD 601 Diagnosis and Treatment Planning I
This course provides a historical perspectives on implantology, the goals of treatment and an understanding of the diagnostic and treatment modalities necessary to properly treat patients requiring implant dentistry. Residents learn to determine their patient’s needs, desires, motivations, and goals; provide an organized approach to examination, record taking, patient evaluation, and obtain appropriate tests and radiographs to formulate a clinical decision-making tree. An interdisciplinary approach to treatment planning is also provided. Multiple presenters, with in-depth experience and competency in different techniques. Provide detailed treatment steps for residents to learn the optimal surgical decisions based on scientific literature as it relates to the subject.
