IMPD 617 Periodontal Aspects of Implant Dentistry and Peri-implantitis Prevention and Treatment
An in-depth correlation between the surrounding tissues of teeth and endosteal implants is taught and a current review of periodontal therapy/treatment/surgical procedures presented. An understanding of the etiology of the condition of peri-implantitis, including its etiology and treatment also studied. Additionally, identification and treatment of peri-implant mucositosis and peri-implantitis, treatment of defects around implants, guided bone regeneration (GBR) principles, and radiographic and intra- oral evaluation and diagnosis is reviewed.
