PSYC 410 Case Management & Communication Skills

The course will review the principles and practices of obtaining, recording, evaluating, and utilizing case data in mental health case management. Students will be required to complete weekly record keeping, inclusive of case notes, treatment plans, intake summaries, and discharge summaries. The weekly record keeping will also include numerous opportunities for peer and instructor review and revision, which will culminate in a final portfolio of professional writing, exceeding 6,000 written words. The purpose of this course is to prepare students for the demands of case management practice through skills training.
