NUR 501 Advanced Health Assessment
The purpose of this course is to introduce students to concepts related to advanced nursing physical assessment of individuals and families. Emphasis is placed on gathering subjective and objective data to develop differential diagnosis for clients across the lifespan. Ethical and cultural factors are considered in developing plans of care. The student has an opportunity to apply the course concepts in clinical laboratory and through simulation. Prerequisite: Admission to the graduate nursing program or permission of nursing faculty.
