FIN 611 Advanced Portfolio Theory & Practice

In this course students will focus on security selection and evaluation as part of an investment portfolio. This practicum provides valuable hands-on experience in portfolio management and the analysis of mutual funds, hedge funds, and Financial derivatives. Students in this course will participate in the management of the Dolphin Student Investment Fund established with funds provided by the J. E. Davis and A. D. Davis families. Students targeting investment banking, an asset management career, or planning to take the CFA test will find this course particularly useful.  Prerequisite:  FIN 534
