FIN 610 Practicum in Portfolio Management

In this class students investigate the various investment alternatives available in the capital markets and helps develop the concepts of risk and return in a portfolio context. Major topics include portfolio theory, performance evaluation, market efficiency, equity and bond management strategies, and mutual funds. This practicum provides valuable hands-on experience insecurities research, valuation of risky assets, and asset allocation through case study and portfolio simulation. Some students may be invited to participate in the management of investments in the Dolphin Student Investment Fund which was endowed by the Davis Family.
