IMPD 604 Moderate Sedation I
The course includes introduction to sedation, levels of sedation, management of the medically compromised patient, airway management, patient monitoring, management of medical emergencies, advanced cardiac life support, venipuncture, and pharmacology leading to an understanding in conscious sedation. In addition to didactic instruction in moderate sedation, residents will practice scenarios in a simulation center, building competence in airway management of a compromised airway.
