Population Health Minor
The Population Health Minor is a 15 credit-hour, interdisciplinary program to prepare any student who seeks to complement their major studies to learn and apply introductory-level population health concepts and methodology. The Population Health Minor prepares students with an understanding of social and political determinates of health. The minor engages students to gain knowledge for identifying effective avenues for disease prevention, health promotion, diagnosis, and interventions. The minor is designed around four required courses and one elective course.
Total Credit Hours: 15
Major requirements cannot be used to fulfill minor requirements. Therefore, one of elective course can be used to fulfill minor requirements.
** HLSC majors are required to take PHIL 412 Biomedical Ethics.
** HLSC are required to take an additional 3 credit elective due to HLSC 301 fulfilling a major requirement.
