NUR 050 Pharmacology for the Practical Nurse
Two credit hours Basic concepts related to pharmacology are explored. Emphasis is placed on state and federal regulations and legal implications, and safe administration of medications. Nursing responsibilities of the practice nurse related to medication administration are discussed within the framework of the nursing process. Competencies and psychomotor skills are developed for the administration of medications. (15 hours class and 15 hours simulation lab) Prerequisites:
