HUM 340-350 Film Studies in Humanities

Studies focused on film-based approaches to the humanities, such as “The Humanities Through Film,” “Film and Social Change,” or “Heroes and Villains.” Course materials will situate the selected films to be studied within the broader context of interdisciplinary humanities, exploring the connections between those films and relevant examples of thought and creative expression drawn from several areas of humanistic study such as the visual arts, literature, religion, philosophy, history, and music and/or other performing arts.

Prerequisite

ENGL 103 and either ENGL Core Literature course or at least junior standing.
