EXSC 427 Nutrition for Physical Activity
Introduction to the study of nutrition for physical activity and health. Topics include but not are limited to exercise-focused macronutrient metabolism, the effects of vitamins and minerals on health and physical activity, and how diet affects and can be used to optimize health and physical activity. Emphasis will be on nutritional concepts related to the energy utilization in exercise and recovery and special topics related to how habitual diet affects general health, body composition, performance, and recovery.
