MSC 413 Aquatic Toxicology

This course is an introduction to the major classes of contaminants in aquatic environments and their interactions with aquatic organisms. Methods of toxicity testing, chemical fate and interactions in aquatic systems, contaminant effects at different levels of biological organization, and environmental regulations will be discussed. This course will give students an opportunity to integrate and apply their knowledge from multiple disciplines.  Pre-requisite: A “C” or better in CHEM 104 or CHEM 205&205L or permission of the instructor.  Cross listed course: CHEM 413.
