KIN 485 Biomechanics of Human Movement

This course examines the mechanical basis of human movement. Human movement will be studied in great detail from a biomechanical perspective. Course topics will emphasize the fundamental concepts of kinematics (movement), kinetics (forces), passive and active muscle and joint biomechanics, sports biomechanics, and biomechanical technologies. Qualitative and quantitative analyses used to study the human body and human movement will be studied. Attention is continually focused on performance, injury, and musculoskeletal health.
