BIOL 308 Principles of Immunology

An in-depth look at the molecular, cellular and organismal elements of the immune system. Topics covered include: innate and adaptive immune responses, monoclonal antibodies, ELISA, generation of the B and T cell receptor repertoires, mechanisms of cellular and humoral mediated immunity, cytokines, complement, autoimmunity, and immune response to pathogens, especially HIV/AIDS. Pre-Requisite: A "C" or better BIOL 290.
