ECON 540 Game Theory

This course serves as an introduction to the field of Game Theory, has found application in fields as diverse as economics, business, law, politics, computer science, and even biology.  Students will
learn how to recognize and model strategic situations and optimal behavior in both theoretical games and real-world examples from economics, political science, and business. Topics covered include payoff matrices, sequential games, backwards induction, dominant strategies, Nash equilibria, pure and mixed strategies, and repeated games
