POL 316 Political Parties Elections

Examination of both the theory and practice of the American party system and electoral process. Particular attention is paid to nominations and elections, voting and political participation, public opinion and polling, the roles of the mass media and interest groups, the impact of campaign finance, and possible solutions for election reform.
