AVM 410 Intermodal Transportation - Elective

A study of the various transportation systems used within the United States to include the historical development of each, their primary characteristics, and the relationship that the individual systems have with the others. Regulation of each type is covered, as well as the principles of transportation economics. Intermodal interface principles are examined in the context of problems that would confront a business traffic manager. The roles of costs and rates in domestic transportation are studied in light of the security, speed, and flexibility of each mode. BUS 308SI, BUS 308W or BUS 308WI.
