HUM 385 Culture, Science & Technology
An examination of the impact of science and technology on selected cultures as reflected in such areas as literature, religion, philosophy, the visual arts, music, and social history. Materials studied typically include Western humanistic works from historical periods such as the Renaissance, the Scientific Revolution, the Enlightenment, and the nineteenth century, as well as more recent examples from the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. No background in science is necessary.
