HLSC 301 Epidemiology in Health Science
Course will examine the patterns, causes, and effects of health and disease conditions. Methodological issues related to the design, conduct, analysis, and interpretation of studies investigating the relationship among a variety of health behaviors (e.g., smoking, physical activity, diet) and diseases (e.g., cancers, heart disease) in a variety of populations (e.g., elderly, ethnic minorities) will be examined. Course will focus on the principles of the quantitative approach to public health and clinical problems. Cross-listed with
