EDU 507 Clinical Appl & Demo Rdg Endorsement
This course is designed, in part, to fulfillrequirements for the Florida K-12 ReadingEndorsement (July, 2002 Source). It addresses asupervised practicum to obtain practicalexperience in increasing the reading performanceof a student(s) with the prescription andutilization of appropriate strategies andmaterials based upon scientifically based readingresearch to address the prevention,identification, and remediation of readingdifficulties. It satisfies: Competency 6:Demonstration of Accomplishment: Applies knowledgeof reading development to reading instruction withsufficient evidence of increased student readingproficiency for all students, including strugglingstudents, ELLs, students with disabilities, andstudents from diverse populations.
