This course is a study of the FederalAdministration?s Air Transportation OversightSystem (ATOS) and its effect on the conduct ofbusiness in commercial aviation. ATOS is a riskmanagement process used by the FAA as its primarysurveillance methodology for certificated aircarriers. At the conclusion of this course,students will have a practical understanding ofthe FAA?s ATOS system as it applies to themanagement of a certificated air carrier, effectson major air transportation companies, and impacton the practical economies of air carrieroperations.
