HUM 311 Ancient Culture

The scientific, philosophical, literary, architectural, and pictorial achievements of the ancient Near Eastern and Mediterranean world, with particular emphasis on the masterworks of Greek and Roman cultures. Texts might include the epic of Gilgamesh, the Bible, and works by Homer, Plato, Aristotle, Tacitus, Cicero and Ovid.
