NUR 053 Community Health Nursing for the Practical Nurse
Two credit hours The nursing process is used to assess care for aggregates and communities in a variety of clinical settings with a focus on health promotion and disease prevention. The diverse role of the community health nurse in collaboration with interdisciplinary health care teams is emphasized. Health teaching for client and community wellness and prevention are emphasized. Clinical community focused scenarios are incorporated into didactic and are practiced in the simulation laboratory. (15 hours class and 45 hours clinical) Prerequisites:
