POL 308 The American Presidency

This course centers on understanding the constitutional origins, historical development, and modern functions of the executive branch. Analysis of presidential nominations and elections, institutional power and authority, and presidential psychology and leadership. Relations with governmental and non-governmental actors as well as the president's role in public policymaking are examined.
