NUR 424 Special Studies

The course provides an overview of another county’s healthcare infrastructure and the healthcare challenges faced by nursing and public health in rural and urban communities in another country.  Students will have an opportunity to explore various cultural, socioeconomic, and political influences on the health of a population through individual research and lectures from experts in the field. Students may participate in a variety of healthcare facilities along with rural outreach workshops focusing on health issues most prominent to the area.
