MUS 357 Popular Music Analysis I
Two hours per week. Prerequisites:
MUS 142 and
MUS 158. Students will analyze representative works of popular music by incorporating methods developed for analyzing contemporary art music for these genres: pop from the 1930s to present day, country and bluegrass, jazz, rhythm and blues, and rock.
