MART 343 Interaction Design

Through a series of technical code sprints and group design workshops, students are introduced to critical aspects of interactive art and design—from digital installation art to mobile apps and traditional websites. Historical and contemporary examples of interactive art are presented, and the breadth of the medium is critically introduced, discussed and practiced. Special emphasis is placed on the aesthetic balance between form and function by translating complex sets of information into user-friendly, intuitive and experiential user interfaces.  Prerequisite: MART 201.  Only offered in the Spring.
