IS 361 Latin America
A study of the people and countries in the region. The course will examine the historical background, contemporary domestic and foreign affairs, and cultural characteristics of the region. This area study includes geographical settings; social, political, and economic development and institutions; religious beliefs, artistic forms, and literary expressions. The course may focus on a particular nation, sub-region, theme, or era.

ENGL 103, English/literature core requirement, History core requirement, and sophomore status
