ENGL 306WI Creative Writing

Creative Writing offers craft-focused guidance for students interested in producing original creative work.  The course begins with a critical examination of contemporary poetry and prose to observe specific elements of craft (voice, place, narrative, metaphor,  etc). Students create work that utilizes these same techniques and select their best pieces for workshops. Students develop their sensibilities within the context of a 21st century literary aesthetic.  May be designated H, SL as appropriate.  Prerequisite ENGL 103, minimum grade C-.
