CHEM 437 Biochemistry I: Molecular Structure and Function

This course examines the structures, functions, and chemistries of water, amino acids, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and nucleic acids. Thermodynamics, enzyme catalysis, kinetics, and regulation will be covered as well as interactions between different molecule types. Prerequisites: A “C” or better in CHEM 311 and BIOL 190.  Offered: Fall Only
