FREN 220 French Literature in Translation
Three hours per week. Prerequisites: Students must have passed
ENGL 103 with a "C-" or better in order to enroll in FREN2xx. A survey of selected masterpieces, translated into English, from the French and Francophone World. Works studied might include the writings of Marie de France and Christine de Pizan, the plays of Molière, Candide, Madame Bovary, or French-language literature from Africa or the Antilles.
