EDU 418 Language Arts in Elementary Education
This language arts course is designed to assist inplanning for teaching with a language persepective based on the research behindlanguage. Emphasis is placed on teachingcommunication skills to diverse learners,including ESOL and ESE students andintergrating the listening, speaking, reading,and writing skills to include a diverseelementary school student population.Involvement includes experiencing, creatingand refining whole language activities. Strategiesto connect whole language with othersubjects in elementary curriculum and infuseinteractive technology are explored.
